Successful delivery of the Boskalis Bokalift1 simulator

The former Dockwise heavy lifting vessel “Finesse” of the Boskalis fleet was converted into the heavy lift crane vessel “Bokalift1” last year. Therefore a 3000-tonne Huisman pedestal crane was installed on deck. At the same time as the conversion of the Bokalift1, Boskalis awarded MARIN the contract for the design, development, installation and delivery of the Bokalift simulator. This simulator enables Boskalis to train the crew for offshore heavy lift operations and to verify the engineered operational procedures.
