ROTOR' research - a 'tugnology' revolution

Tugnology' is a creative word dreamed up by Rotterdam harbour towage group KOTUG International to describe its highly unconventional propulsion system. Although tugs and especially harbour tugs have normally already a very good manoeuvrability, this design goes one step beyond and the new Rotor tugs are, as Frans Quadvlieg reports in this review of their MARIN tests, exceptional.
