At the AMT’19, an uncertainty model for the evaluation of the combined uncertainty in hydrodynamic model testing was presented [1]. This uncertainty model consists of five different uncertainty levels. In the present paper, several contributions to the experimental uncertainty (third level) are discussed and evaluated for resistance test of a ship model. Repeatability and reproducibility uncertainty are evaluated based on series of extensive resistance test with the MARIN reference model over a period of 4 years. Further, this results in recommendations for reducing experimental uncertainty of ship model resistance. Further, various analysis methods evaluating averaged resistance are discussed. This leads to an estimate for an uncertainty contribution to the so-called analysis uncertainty (fourth level).
