35-years of simulation technology

As well as celebrating the 75th Jubilee MARIN is also chalking up another milestone Ð 35-years of MARIN simulation technology. MARIN opened the ship-manoeuvring simulator in 1972, which was one of the first simulators in the world. A picture of this first facility is shown below. It focused on oil tankers which were continually growing in size at the time.
