Kirsten Odendaal wins Maritime Designer Award 2022

We are proud to announce that our colleague Kirsten Odendaal received the Maritime Designer Award at the Maritime Awards Gala yesterday.

Kirsten has shown that advanced data science techniques can improve ship energy predictions. He struck the jury with his advanced application of computer science techniques. By using big data from existing ships when designing new ships, energy consumption and emissions can be reduced.

MARIN congratulates Kirsten with this fantastic prize. More than 700 maritime professionals met during the Maritime Awards Gala to celebrate the innovative capacity of the Dutch maritime sector together with the press, politicians and the nominees.
