MARIN signed a cooperation agreement with Platform Zero Incidents (PZI) on 17 November. In this platform, shipping companies, captains and charterers develop and share knowledge about incidents in the inland shipping industry in order to prevent recurrence in the future.

PZI contributes to a widely supported aim for zero incidents in inland shipping. MARIN contributes to this by sharing knowledge of complex factors and risks in inland shipping from a human factors perspective and translating lessons from incidents into practical advice. In this way, together with other stakeholders such as PortofRotterdam, NMT and CBRB, we make inland shipping safer.
