In the Launch & Recovery Forum, navies as well as commercial operators, contractors, yards, research institutes and safety authorities share their experience in launch and recovery at sea.
Background
In the Launch & Recovery Forum subjects covering the complete lifecycle from concept development to operation are presented and new ideas and development plans are discussed. The Forum was initiated in 2015 by the participants of the Joint Industry Project LAURA and NATO working groups on launch and recovery, and ship simulation.
Forum meetings are organised to enable progress meetings for the individual projects and working groups, as well as open meetings for information exchange and discussions. Forum meetings were held in April 2016 (Wageningen, the Netherlands), June 2017 (London, UK) and July 2020 (in cooperation with ASNE as part of the Multi-Agency Craft Conference, Baltimore, USA).
